He recorded a great many of his records at the old speed of 78rpm. I do have in my collection the famous 78 rpm three and half inch REX record. One side has his "signature tune" "I do Like To Be Beside The Seaside" The reverse side has Reg talking advertising his new recordings on the REX label (please see further comment on page

He was a recording artist at first with the HOMOPHONE COMPANY (Sterno Label) (1932-1933) and his first record was released in July 1932,
12" and Cat.No. 8030. "Lilac Time Selection" (in 2 Parts)
It was during his time with the Sterno Label that he recorded under the "alias" of "Roy Wilson" (5 records)

He did in fact use two more "aliases" for recording
1. "Jean Stafford" (Redwing Label) one record
2. "P Barlow" (Plaza label) two records.

He also made further recordings on various other organs.

The Granada Cinemas:-
Welling, Tooting, Slough, (all during WWII)

The Opera House, Blackpool

The BBC Theatre Moller in Llandudno (during WWII)

He did make a further recording on the Crystalite Studio Organ for the REX label. An advert for future recordings on that same label to which his "lucid tones" can be heard.

Through the courtesy of Alan Ashton (www.alanashton.org.uk) I now have a recording of it.

I go into more detail further on in the Web Site in respect of his EP45 and LP recordings. Most of them released on the Columbia Label.
